AI 시대, 새로운 책임경영 평가환경
A New Evaluation Environment in the Age of AI

 

 

기업과 공공기관을 둘러싼 경영환경은 인공지능(AI), 디지털 전환, 기후변화 대응, 글로벌 공급망 재편, 사이버 보안, 인권 보호, 윤리경영, 그리고 공공가치와 사회적 가치에 대한 요구 확대와 함께 빠르게 변화하고 있다. 이러한 변화는 조직의 운영 방식뿐 아니라 경쟁력을 평가하는 기준까지 근본적으로 바꾸고 있다.

The environment surrounding corporations and public institutions is rapidly evolving as a result of Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital transformation, climate action, global supply chain restructuring, cybersecurity, human rights protection, ethical governance, and the growing demand for public and social value. These changes are fundamentally reshaping not only how organizations operate but also the standards by which organizational competitiveness is evaluated.

 

오늘날 조직의 경쟁력은 단기적인 재무성과나 기존 ESG(Environmental, Social, Governance) 평가만으로는 충분히 설명될 수 없다. 지속가능한 성장, 미래 경쟁력, 혁신역량, 장기 가치창출, 비재무 리스크 관리, 공공가치 및 사회적 가치까지 함께 평가할 수 있는 새로운 책임경영 기준이 요구되고 있다.

Today, organizational competitiveness can no longer be fully explained by short-term financial performance or conventional Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) assessments alone. A new framework is required to evaluate sustainable growth, future competitiveness, innovation capability, long-term value creation, non-financial risk management, public value, and social value in an integrated manner.

 

이러한 시대적 요구에 대응하기 위해 SEC(Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission)는 독자적인 연구를 바탕으로 SEC Evaluation Ecosystem(SEC 평가 생태계)을 구축하였으며, 이를 기반으로 WF책임경영지수(WFSRI)를 개발하였다.

In response to these structural changes, the Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission (SEC) established the SEC Evaluation Ecosystem through independent research and developed the WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI) as its flagship evaluation index.

SEC Evaluation Ecosystem은 단순한 평가모형이나 하나의 평가지수를 의미하지 않는다.

평가철학(Evaluation Philosophy), 평가방법론(Evaluation Methodology), 평가기준(Evaluation Criteria), 평가체계(SEC Evaluation Framework), 평가언어(Evaluation Language), 평가부문(Evaluation Domains), 전략영역(Strategic Pillars), 지표체계(SEC Indicator System), 핵심가치지표(SEC Core Value Indicators), 책임경영지수(WFSRI), 평가등급(Rating), 평가순위(Ranking), 인증(Certification), 심층분석(Analysis)을 하나의 통합된 구조로 연결한 SEC의 독자적인 평가 생태계이다.

The SEC Evaluation Ecosystem is far more than an evaluation model or a single index. It is SEC's proprietary evaluation ecosystem that integrates the Evaluation Philosophy, Evaluation Methodology, Evaluation Criteria, SEC Evaluation Framework, Evaluation Language, Evaluation Domains, Strategic Pillars, SEC Indicator System, SEC Core Value Indicators, the WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI), Rating, Ranking, Certification, and Analysis into one unified architecture.

 

WFSRI는 이러한 SEC Evaluation Ecosystem을 기반으로 산출되는 대표 종합지수이며, SEC가 수행하는 모든 평가와 연구의 중심축 역할을 수행한다.

The WFSRI is the flagship composite index generated through the SEC Evaluation Ecosystem and serves as the foundation for all evaluations, ratings, certifications, analyses, and research conducted by SEC.

 

 

WFSRI 개발의 배경
Development of the WFSRI

 

WF책임경영지수(WFSRI)는 기존 ESG를 대체하기 위하여 개발된 평가체계가 아니다.

The WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI) was not developed to replace conventional ESG.

 

WFSRI는 ESG의 기본 철학을 존중하며, AI 시대의 산업환경과 사회환경에서 요구되는 책임경영을 보다 종합적이고 미래지향적으로 평가하기 위해 SEC가 독자적으로 개발한 대표 책임경영지수이다.

While respecting the fundamental philosophy of ESG, the WFSRI was independently developed by SEC to provide a more comprehensive and future-oriented evaluation of Responsible Management in the age of AI.

 

SEC Evaluation Ecosystem은 6개의 SEC Evaluation Domains, 14개의 SEC Strategic Pillars, SEC Indicator System(110 Detailed Evaluation Indicators), SEC Core Value Indicators(31 Core Value Indicators)를 유기적으로 연결하여 기업과 공공기관의 책임경영 수준을 종합적으로 평가한다.

The SEC Evaluation Ecosystem integrates six SEC Evaluation Domains, fourteen SEC Strategic Pillars, the SEC Indicator System consisting of 110 Detailed Evaluation Indicators, and 31 SEC Core Value Indicators into a coherent framework for evaluating Responsible Management.

 

이 체계를 바탕으로 SEC는 지속가능성, 책임경영, 혁신역량, 비재무 리스크 관리, 장기 가치창출, 공공가치, 사회적 가치 및 미래 경쟁력을 종합적으로 평가한다.

Based on this framework, SEC comprehensively evaluates sustainability, responsible management, innovation capability, non-financial risk management, long-term value creation, public value, social value, and future competitiveness.

 

 

백서의 목적
Purpose of This White Paper

 

본 백서는 SEC Evaluation Ecosystem과 WF책임경영지수(WFSRI)의 개발 배경과 철학, 구조 및 운영원칙을 체계적으로 설명하는 공식 기준문서이다.

This White Paper serves as the official reference document explaining the philosophy, architecture, operating principles, and development background of the SEC Evaluation Ecosystem and the WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI).

 

또한 SEC Evaluation Framework, SEC Evaluation Domains, SEC Strategic Pillars, SEC Indicator System 및 SEC Core Value Indicators를 공식적으로 제시함으로써 기업과 공공기관, 연구기관, 정책입안자, 투자자 및 국제사회의 다양한 이해관계자가 동일한 기준과 평가 언어를 바탕으로 책임경영을 이해하고 활용할 수 있도록 지원한다.

It also formally presents the SEC Evaluation Framework, SEC Evaluation Domains, SEC Strategic Pillars, SEC Indicator System, and SEC Core Value Indicators, enabling corporations, public institutions, research organizations, policymakers, investors, and international stakeholders to understand and apply Responsible Management through a common evaluation framework and language.

SEC Evaluation Ecosystem은 조직을 단순히 평가하거나 비교하기 위한 체계가 아니다.

조직이 현재의 책임경영 수준을 객관적으로 진단하고, 강점과 개선과제를 확인하며, 지속적인 혁신과 장기 가치창출을 실현할 수 있도록 지원하는 발전지향형 평가체계이다.

The SEC Evaluation Ecosystem is not merely a mechanism for evaluating or comparing organizations. Beyond developing evaluation methodologies, SEC is committed to establishing a globally recognized Evaluation Language through its Evaluation Domains, Strategic Pillars, and Core Value Indicators, contributing to a new international standard for Responsible Management evaluation.
