기업과 공공기관을 둘러싼 경영환경은 인공지능(AI), 디지털 전환, 기후변화 대응, 글로벌 공급망 재편, 사이버 보안, 인권 보호, 윤리경영, 그리고 공공가치와 사회적 가치에 대한 요구 확대와 함께 빠르게 변화하고 있다. 이러한 변화는 조직의 운영 방식뿐 아니라 경쟁력을 평가하는 기준까지 근본적으로 변화시키고 있다.

The environment surrounding corporations and public institutions is rapidly evolving as a result of Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital transformation, climate action, global supply chain restructuring, cybersecurity, human rights protection, ethical governance, and the growing demand for public and social value. These changes are fundamentally reshaping not only how organizations operate but also the standards by which organizational competitiveness is evaluated.

 

오늘날 조직의 경쟁력은 단기적인 재무성과나 기존 ESG(Environmental, Social and Governance) 평가만으로는 충분히 설명될 수 없다. 지속가능한 성장, 미래 경쟁력, 혁신역량, 장기 가치창출, 비재무 리스크 관리, 공공가치 및 사회적 가치까지 함께 고려하는 새로운 책임경영 평가기준이 요구되고 있다.

Today, organizational competitiveness can no longer be fully explained by short-term financial performance or conventional Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) assessments alone. A new standard is required to comprehensively evaluate sustainable growth, future competitiveness, innovation capability, long-term value creation, non-financial risk management, public value, and social value.

 

이러한 시대적 요구에 대응하기 위해 SEC(Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission)는 독자적인 연구를 통해 SEC Evaluation Ecosystem(SEC 평가 생태계)을 구축하고, 이를 기반으로 WF책임경영지수(WF Sustainable Responsibility Index, WFSRI)를 개발하였다.

To respond to these structural changes, the Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission (SEC) established the SEC Evaluation Ecosystem through independent research and developed the WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI) as its flagship evaluation index.

The SEC Evaluation Ecosystem is not merely an evaluation model or a single index. The WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI)

 

WF책임경영지수(WFSRI)는 기존 ESG(Environmental, Social and Governance)를 대체하기 위해 개발된 평가체계가 아니다.

The WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI) was not developed to replace conventional Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG).

 

ESG의 기본 철학을 존중하며, AI 시대의 새로운 경영환경에서 요구되는 책임경영을 보다 종합적이고 미래지향적으로 평가하기 위해 SEC(Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission)가 독자적으로 개발한 대표 책임경영지수이다.

While respecting the fundamental philosophy of ESG, the WFSRI was independently developed by the Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission (SEC) as its flagship Responsible Management Index to provide a more comprehensive and future-oriented evaluation of Responsible Management in the age of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

 

WFSRI는 SEC Evaluation Ecosystem을 기반으로 산출되는 대표 종합지수이다.

The WFSRI is the flagship composite index generated through the SEC Evaluation Ecosystem.

 

SEC는 이를 통해 기업과 공공기관의 지속가능성(Sustainability), 책임경영(Responsible Management), 혁신역량(Innovation Capability), 비재무 리스크 관리(Non-Financial Risk Management), 장기 가치창출(Long-Term Value Creation), 공공가치(Public Value), 사회적 가치(Social Value), 그리고 미래 경쟁력(Future Competitiveness)을 종합적으로 평가한다.

31개의 SEC Core Value Indicators(CVIs)는 SEC Indicator System을 구성하는 110개 세부평가지표 가운데 제080호부터 제110호까지의 평가지표로 구성되며, 책임경영의 핵심 가치와 미래 경쟁력을 대표하는 전략지표로 활용된다.

The 31 SEC Core Value Indicators (CVIs), comprising Indicators No. 080 through No. 110 within the SEC Indicator System, represent the strategic core values of Responsible Management and future competitiveness.

 

SEC Evaluation Language
 

SEC는 평가 결과를 단순한 점수로 제시하는 데 그치지 않는다.

SEC does not simply present evaluation results as numerical scores.

 

SEC는 국제사회가 공통적으로 활용할 수 있는 Evaluation Language(평가 언어)를 구축하고 있으며, 이를 통해 책임경영 수준과 조직의 경쟁력을 보다 직관적이고 일관된 방식으로 표현한다.

SEC is establishing a globally consistent Evaluation Language that enables the level of Responsible Management and organizational competitiveness to be communicated in a more intuitive and consistent manner.

 

향후 평가 결과는 6 SEC Evaluation Domains, 14 SEC Strategic Pillars, SEC Core Value Indicators를 기반으로 각 조직의 강점과 개선 방향을 제시하고, 최종적으로 WF Sustainable Responsibility Index(WFSRI)를 종합지수로 제공하는 체계로 운영된다.

Future evaluation results will present each organization's strengths and areas for improvement through the 6 SEC Evaluation Domains, 14 SEC Strategic Pillars, and SEC Core Value Indicators, while providing the WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI) as the overall composite index.

This White Paper is SEC's official reference document explaining the development background, evaluation philosophy, methodology, framework, architecture, and operating principles of the SEC Evaluation Ecosystem and the WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI).
