SEC(Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission)는 세계청년리더총연맹(WFPL, World Federation of Power Leaders)이 설립한 기업·공공기관 평가전문기관으로서 WF책임경영지수(WFSRI)를 개발·운영하고 있으며, 이를 기반으로 기업 및 공공기관(Corporations and Public Institutions)의 지속가능성(Sustainability), 책임경영(Responsible Management), 비재무 리스크 관리역량(Non-Financial Risk Management Capability), 혁신역량(Innovation Capability) 및 장기 가치창출 역량(Long-Term Value Creation Potential)을 종합적으로 평가하고 있다.

The Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission (SEC) is a specialized evaluation institution established by the World Federation of Power Leaders (WFPL). SEC develops and operates the WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI) and comprehensively evaluates the sustainability, responsible management performance, non-financial risk management capability, innovation capability, and long-term value creation potential of corporations and public institutions.

설립 배경 및 역할

Background and Role

오늘날 기업 및 공공기관을 둘러싼 경영환경은 빠르게 변화하고 있다. 기후변화 대응, 탄소중립 실현, 디지털 전환, 인공지능(AI)의 발전, 공급망 리스크, 인권 보호, 사이버 보안 및 윤리경영 강화에 대한 요구가 확대되면서 지속가능성과 비재무 리스크 관리역량은 조직 경쟁력의 핵심 요소로 부상하고 있다.

Today, the operating environment surrounding corporations and public institutions is changing rapidly. Climate action, carbon neutrality, digital transformation, advances in artificial intelligence (AI), supply-chain risks, human rights protection, cybersecurity, and ethical management have become critical factors influencing organizational competitiveness and sustainability.

과거에는 조직의 성과를 주로 재무적 결과 중심으로 평가하였으나, 오늘날에는 지속가능성, 책임경영, 사회적 가치 창출, 혁신역량, 비재무 리스크 관리 및 미래 대응 역량이 조직의 지속가능한 성장과 경쟁력을 결정하는 핵심 요소로 인식되고 있다.

While organizational performance was once evaluated primarily through financial outcomes, sustainability, responsible management, social value creation, innovation capability, non-financial risk management, and future-readiness are now widely recognized as essential drivers of sustainable growth and competitiveness.

SEC는 이러한 시대적 요구에 부응하기 위하여 기업 및 공공기관의 책임경영 수준과 지속가능성 역량을 객관적이고 독립적으로 평가함으로써 투자자, 정책결정자, 국민 및 다양한 이해관계자의 합리적 의사결정을 지원하고 있다.

In response to these evolving demands, SEC objectively and independently evaluates the responsible management performance and sustainability capabilities of corporations and public institutions, thereby supporting informed decision-making by investors, policymakers, citizens, and diverse stakeholders.

WF책임경영지수(WFSRI) 개발기관

Developer of the WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI)

SEC의 가장 큰 특징은 자체적으로 개발한 WF책임경영지수(WFSRI, WF Sustainable Responsibility Index)를 공식 평가모델로 운영하고 있다는 점이다.

The most distinctive characteristic of SEC is that it operates the WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI), a proprietary responsible management evaluation framework developed through its own research and evaluation activities.

WF책임경영지수(WFSRI)는 6대 평가부문(Six Major Evaluation Categories), 14개 하위항목(Fourteen Sub-Categories), 110개 세부지표(110 Detailed Indicators) 및 31개 핵심가치지표(CVI, Core Value Indicators)로 구성된 책임경영 평가체계이다.

The WFSRI is a responsible management evaluation framework consisting of Six Major Evaluation Categories, Fourteen Sub-Categories, 110 Detailed Indicators, and 31 Core Value Indicators (CVI).

기존 ESG 평가체계가 환경(Environment), 사회(Social), 지배구조(Governance)를 중심으로 운영되어 온 것과 달리, WFSRI는 ESG의 기본 가치와 평가원칙을 포함함은 물론 공공가치(Public Value), 공동체 가치(Community Value), 미래세대 보호(Protection of Future Generations), 디지털윤리(Digital Ethics) 및 혁신가치(Innovation Value)를 함께 반영하여 조직의 지속가능성, 책임경영 수준, 사회적 가치 창출 성과 및 미래 대응 역량을 종합적으로 평가하는 확장형 책임경영 평가체계이다.

Unlike conventional ESG frameworks that primarily focus on Environment, Social, and Governance factors, the WFSRI incorporates Public Value, Community Value, Protection of Future Generations, Digital Ethics, and Innovation Value, providing a broader responsible management framework that comprehensively evaluates sustainability, responsible management performance, social value creation, and future-readiness.

Operator of the SEC WFSRI Rating Framework

SEC는 WF책임경영지수(WFSRI)를 기반으로 공식 책임경영 평가등급 체계인 SEC WFSRI Rating을 운영하고 있다.

SEC operates the SEC WFSRI Rating, the official responsible management rating framework based on the WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI).

SEC WFSRI Rating은 기업 및 공공기관의 지속가능성, 책임경영 수준, 사회적 가치 창출 성과 및 미래 대응 역량을 종합적으로 평가하여 부여하는 공식 책임경영 평가등급 체계이다.

The SEC WFSRI Rating is the official responsible management rating system that comprehensively evaluates sustainability, responsible management performance, social value creation, and future-readiness capabilities.

평가등급은 AAA(Platinum), AA(Gold), A(Silver), BB(Certified), B(Not Certified)의 5단계로 구성되며, 평가결과에 따라 등급별 인증마크가 부여된다. SEC는 2027년 평가결과 발표 시 SEC WFSRI Rating을 공식 적용할 예정이다.

The rating framework consists of five levels: AAA (Platinum), AA (Gold), A (Silver), BB (Certified), and B (Not Certified), with certification marks awarded according to evaluation results. SEC plans to officially apply the SEC WFSRI Rating beginning with the publication of the 2027 evaluation results.

SEC는 ESG·WFSRI 평가분석센터를 운영하여 기업·공공기관 ESG 평가 결과, WFSRI 평가 결과, 산업별 및 기관유형별 비교분석, ESG·WFSRI 비교분석, 책임경영 프로파일, 비재무 리스크 분석, 산업전망 정보 및 연구자료를 제공하고 있다.

SEC operates the ESG·WFSRI Evaluation & Analysis Center, providing ESG evaluation results, WFSRI assessment results, industry and institution-type comparisons, ESG-WFSRI comparative analyses, responsible management profiles, non-financial risk assessments, industry outlook information, and research resources.

평가분석센터는 단순한 평가결과 공개를 넘어 기업 및 공공기관의 상대적 위치와 책임경영 수준을 객관적으로 분석·제시하는 전문 정보 플랫폼으로 운영되고 있다.

The Center functions as a professional information platform that objectively analyzes and presents the relative standing and responsible management performance of corporations and public institutions, going beyond the mere disclosure of evaluation results.
