규정 소개(Introduction)

 

WFPL ESG 인증 운영규정은 SEC(Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission)가 실시하는 ESG 평가결과를 기반으로 우수기관 및 우수기업에 인증을 부여하기 위한 기준과 절차를 규정하기 위하여 제정되었다.

 

The WFPL ESG Certification Operational Regulations have been established to prescribe the standards and procedures for granting certification to outstanding institutions and corporations based on ESG evaluation results conducted by SEC.

WFPL ESG 인증은 지속가능경영, 책임경영, 사회적 가치 창출 및 미래 대응 역량이 우수한 기관과 기업을 발굴하고 인증함으로써 지속가능한 성장과 책임 있는 경영문화 확산에 기여하는 것을 목적으로 한다.

 

The WFPL ESG Certification aims to identify and recognize institutions and corporations demonstrating excellence in sustainability, responsible management, social value creation, and future readiness, thereby contributing to sustainable growth and the promotion of responsible management practices.

인증제도는 ESG 평가등급과 연계하여 운영되며, 평가결과의 사회적 활용성과 신뢰성을 제고하기 위한 제도적 장치로 기능한다.

 

The certification program operates in conjunction with ESG Ratings and serves as an institutional mechanism to enhance the social utility and credibility of evaluation results.

 

 

제1장 총칙

Chapter 1 General Provisions

 

제1조(목적)

Article 1 (Purpose)

본 규정은 WFPL ESG 인증의 운영에 필요한 사항을 규정함으로써 지속가능경영과 책임경영을 실천하는 기관 및 기업을 인증하고, ESG 경영문화 확산에 기여함을 목적으로 한다.

 

The purpose of these Regulations is to prescribe matters necessary for the operation of the WFPL ESG Certification, thereby recognizing institutions and corporations that practice sustainability and responsible management and contributing to the promotion of ESG management culture.

 

제2조(적용범위)

Article 2 (Scope of Application)

본 규정은 SEC가 실시하는 ESG 평가와 연계하여 운영하는 WFPL ESG 인증에 적용한다.

 

These Regulations shall apply to the WFPL ESG Certification operated in conjunction with ESG evaluations conducted by SEC.

 

제3조(정의)

Article 3 (Definitions)

 

본 규정에서 사용하는 용어의 뜻은 다음과 같다.

 

The terms used in these Regulations shall have the following meanings:

“WFPL ESG 인증”이란 SEC의 ESG 평가결과를 기반으로 우수기관 또는 우수기업에 부여하는 인증을 말한다.

 

“WFPL ESG Certification” means a certification granted to outstanding institutions or corporations based on ESG evaluation results conducted by SEC.

“인증등급”이란 인증대상의 ESG 평가결과를 기준으로 부여하는 인증 수준을 말한다.

 

“Certification Grade” means the level of certification assigned based on ESG evaluation results.

“인증대상”이란 인증심사를 거쳐 인증을 부여받은 기관 또는 기업을 말한다.

 

“Certified Entity” means an institution or corporation that has been granted certification through the certification review process.

 

 

제2장 인증제도

Chapter 2 Certification Program

 

제4조(인증의 기본원칙)

Article 4 (Fundamental Principles of Certification)

① 인증은 객관성, 공정성, 독립성 및 투명성을 원칙으로 운영한다.

Certification shall be administered based on the principles of objectivity, fairness, independence, and transparency.

② 인증은 SEC의 ESG 평가결과를 기반으로 운영한다.

Certification shall be based on ESG evaluation results conducted by SEC.

 

제5조(인증등급)

Article 5 (Certification Grades)

① SEC는 다음 각 호의 인증등급을 운영할 수 있다.

SEC may operate the following certification grades:

Platinum Certification
Gold Certification
Silver Certification

② 인증등급은 ESG 평가등급과 연계하여 부여할 수 있다.

Certification grades may be granted in linkage with ESG Ratings.

③ 인증등급 부여기준은 SEC가 별도로 정한다.

The criteria for assigning certification grades shall be determined separately by SEC.

 

 

제3장 인증심의위원회

Chapter 3 Certification Review Committee

 

제6조(인증심의위원회의 설치)

Article 6 (Establishment of the Certification Review Committee)

SEC는 인증의 공정성과 객관성을 확보하기 위하여 인증심의위원회를 둘 수 있다.

 

SEC may establish a Certification Review Committee to ensure fairness and objectivity in certification decisions.

 

제7조(위원회의 구성)

Article 7 (Composition of the Committee)

① 인증심의위원회는 위원장 1인을 포함한 5인 이상 9인 이하의 위원으로 구성할 수 있다.

The Certification Review Committee may consist of not fewer than five (5) and not more than nine (9) members, including a Chairperson.

② 위원의 과반수는 SEC 외부 전문가로 구성하는 것을 원칙으로 한다.

A majority of the Committee members shall, in principle, be external experts independent of SEC.

③ 위원은 ESG, 지속가능경영, 법률, 회계, 경영, 공공정책 또는 관련 분야의 전문지식과 경험을 갖춘 자 중에서 위촉할 수 있다.

Members may be appointed from among individuals possessing expertise and experience in ESG, sustainability, law, accounting, management, public policy, or related fields.

 

제8조(위원의 제척·기피·회피)

Article 8 (Disqualification, Challenge, and Recusal of Members)

 

인증심의위원의 제척, 기피 및 회피에 관한 사항은 SEC 관련 규정에 따른다.

 

Matters concerning the disqualification, challenge, and recusal of Committee members shall be governed by relevant SEC regulations.

 

제4장 인증 부여

Chapter 4 Granting of Certification

 

제9조(인증 부여)

Article 9 (Granting of Certification)

① SEC는 인증기준을 충족한 기관 또는 기업에 인증을 부여할 수 있다.

SEC may grant certification to institutions or corporations that satisfy certification criteria.

② 인증 부여 여부는 ESG 평가결과와 인증심의 결과를 종합적으로 고려하여 결정한다.

Certification shall be granted based on ESG evaluation results and the outcome of the certification review.

 

제10조(인증서 발급)

Article 10 (Issuance of Certificates)

SEC는 인증을 받은 기관 또는 기업에 인증서를 발급할 수 있다.

SEC may issue certification certificates to certified institutions or corporations.

 

제11조(인증의 유효기간)

Article 11 (Validity Period of Certification)

① 인증의 유효기간은 인증 부여일로부터 1년을 원칙으로 한다.

The validity period of certification shall, in principle, be one (1) year from the date of certification.

② 인증의 갱신에 관한 사항은 SEC가 별도로 정한다.

Matters concerning certification renewal shall be determined separately by SEC.

 

제5장 인증의 활용

Chapter 5 Utilization of Certification

 

제12조(인증의 표시)

Article 12 (Use of Certification Marks)

인증을 받은 기관 또는 기업은 SEC가 정하는 기준에 따라 인증 사실을 표시하거나 홍보할 수 있다.

Certified institutions or corporations may display or publicize their certification status in accordance with standards established by SEC.

 

제13조(인증의 활용)

Article 13 (Utilization of Certification)

SEC는 인증결과를 ESG 우수사례 발굴, 지속가능경영 확산, 연구 및 정책개발 등의 목적으로 활용할 수 있다.

SEC may utilize certification results for identifying ESG best practices, promoting sustainability management, conducting research, and supporting policy development.

 

제6장 인증의 정지 및 취소

Chapter 6 Suspension and Revocation of Certification

 

제14조(인증의 정지)

Article 14 (Suspension of Certification)

SEC는 인증기준 위반 또는 기타 정당한 사유가 있는 경우 인증의 효력을 정지할 수 있다.

SEC may suspend certification where certification standards have been violated or where other legitimate grounds exist.

제15조(인증의 취소)

Article 15 (Revocation of Certification)

SEC는 다음 각 호의 어느 하나에 해당하는 경우 인증을 취소할 수 있다.

SEC may revoke certification in any of the following circumstances:

허위 또는 부정한 방법으로 인증을 받은 경우

Where certification was obtained through false or improper means.

인증기준을 중대하게 위반한 경우

Where certification standards have been materially violated.

사회적 신뢰를 현저히 훼손한 경우

Where the institution or corporation has materially damaged public trust.

기타 SEC가 필요하다고 인정하는 경우

Other circumstances deemed necessary by SEC.

 

 

제7장 보칙

Chapter 7 Supplementary Provisions

 

제16조(세부사항)

Article 16 (Detailed Matters)

본 규정의 시행에 필요한 세부사항은 SEC가 별도로 정하는 기준에 따른다.

Detailed matters necessary for the implementation of these Regulations shall be governed by standards established separately by SEC.

 

부칙

Supplementary Provisions

 

제1조(시행일)

Article 1 (Effective Date)

본 규정은 2026년 1월 1일부터 시행한다.

These Regulations shall take effect on January 1, 2026.

제2조(적용례)

Article 2 (Application)

본 규정은 「제1회 WFPL 공공기관·기업 ESG 평가」에 적용한다.

These Regulations shall apply to the 1st WFPL ESG Evaluation for Public Institutions and Corporations.
