안녕하십니까.

SEC(Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission)를 방문해 주신 여러분께 진심으로 감사드립니다.

오늘날 우리는 기후변화, 탄소중립, 디지털 전환, 인공지능(AI)의 발전, 공급망 리스크, 인권 보호, 사이버 보안 및 윤리경영 강화 등 급격한 변화와 새로운 도전에 직면하고 있습니다. 이러한 변화는 기업 및 공공기관이 단순한 재무적 성과를 넘어 지속가능성, 책임경영, 비재무 리스크 관리, 혁신역량 및 장기 가치창출 역량을 갖출 것을 요구하고 있습니다.

SEC는 세계청년리더총연맹(WFPL)이 설립한 기업·공공기관 평가전문기관으로서 기업 및 공공기관의 지속가능성, 책임경영 수준, 비재무 리스크 관리역량, 혁신역량 및 장기 가치창출 역량을 객관적이고 독립적으로 평가하여 투자자 및 이해관계자의 합리적 의사결정을 지원하고 있습니다.

평가는 단순히 조직을 비교하거나 순위를 부여하기 위한 수단이 아닙니다. 평가는 현재의 위치를 객관적으로 진단하고 더 나은 미래를 준비할 수 있도록 돕는 나침반이어야 하며, 지속가능한 성장과 책임 있는 변화를 이끄는 출발점이 되어야 합니다.

SEC는 평가를 위한 평가가 아니라 지속가능한 성장과 책임 있는 변화, 그리고 장기 가치창출을 위한 평가를 지향합니다. 우리는 기업 및 공공기관이 보다 투명하고 혁신적이며 책임 있는 조직으로 성장할 수 있도록 지원하는 책임경영 평가·분석 플랫폼의 역할을 수행하고 있습니다.

WF책임경영지수(WFSRI)의 개발과 운영

Development and Operation of the WFSRI

SEC의 가장 큰 특징은 자체적으로 개발한 WF책임경영지수(WFSRI, WF Sustainable Responsibility Index)를 공식 평가모델로 운영하고 있다는 점입니다.

The most distinctive characteristic of SEC is that it operates the WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI), a proprietary responsible management evaluation framework developed through its own research and evaluation activities.

WF책임경영지수(WFSRI)는 6대 평가부문(Six Major Evaluation Categories), 14개 하위항목(Fourteen Sub-Categories), 110개 세부지표(110 Detailed Indicators) 및 31개 핵심가치지표(CVI, Core Value Indicators)로 구성된 책임경영 평가체계입니다.

The WFSRI is a responsible management evaluation framework consisting of Six Major Evaluation Categories, Fourteen Sub-Categories, 110 Detailed Indicators, and 31 Core Value Indicators (CVI).

WFSRI는 ESG(Environment, Social, Governance)의 기본 가치와 평가원칙을 포함함과 동시에 공공가치(Public Value), 공동체 가치(Community Value), 미래세대 보호(Protection of Future Generations), 디지털윤리(Digital Ethics) 및 혁신가치(Innovation Value)를 함께 반영하는 확장형 책임경영 평가체계입니다.

기존 ESG 평가가 조직의 현재 지속가능성과 비재무 리스크 관리 수준에 중점을 두고 있다면, WFSRI는 책임경영 수준, 사회적 가치 창출 성과, 미래 대응 역량 및 장기 가치창출 가능성까지 함께 평가하는 통합 책임경영 평가체계라는 점에서 차별성을 가지고 있습니다.

Official Responsible Management Rating Framework

SEC는 WF책임경영지수(WFSRI)를 기반으로 공식 책임경영 평가등급 체계인 SEC WFSRI Rating을 운영하고 있습니다.

SEC operates the SEC WFSRI Rating, the official responsible management rating framework based on the WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI).

SEC WFSRI Rating은 기업 및 공공기관의 지속가능성, 책임경영 수준, 사회적 가치 창출 성과 및 미래 대응 역량을 종합적으로 평가하는 공식 책임경영 평가등급 체계입니다.

The SEC WFSRI Rating is the official responsible management rating system that comprehensively evaluates sustainability, responsible management performance, social value creation, and future-readiness capabilities.

평가등급은 AAA(Platinum), AA(Gold), A(Silver), BB(Certified), B(Not Certified)의 5단계로 구성되며, 평가결과에 따라 등급별 인증마크가 부여됩니다.

The rating framework consists of five levels: AAA (Platinum), AA (Gold), A (Silver), BB (Certified), and B (Not Certified), with certification marks awarded according to evaluation results.

ESG·WFSRI Evaluation & Analysis Center

SEC는 ESG·WFSRI 평가분석센터를 운영하여 평가결과, 산업별 리그테이블(League Tables), 비교분석(Peer Analysis), 책임경영 프로파일(Responsible Management Profiles), 비재무 리스크 분석(Non-Financial Risk Analysis), 장기 가치창출 역량 분석(Long-Term Value Creation Analysis) 및 연구자료를 제공하고 있습니다.

이를 통해 기업 및 공공기관이 자신의 현재 위치를 객관적으로 진단하고 지속적인 개선과 혁신을 추진할 수 있도록 지원하고 있습니다.

평가의 독립성과 신뢰성

Independence and Credibility of Evaluation

SEC는 공정성(Fairness), 객관성(Objectivity), 독립성(Independence), 투명성(Transparency), 책임성(Accountability), 전문성(Professionalism) 및 데이터 신뢰성(Data Reliability)을 핵심 운영원칙으로 삼고 있습니다.

특히 SEC는 평가와 인증의 독립성을 확보하기 위하여 평가대상 기업 및 공공기관으로부터 평가비, 심사비, 인증비, 후원금, 협찬금 또는 기타 금전적 지원을 받지 않는 경제적 독립성(Financial Independence) 원칙을 유지하고 있습니다.

또한 사실확인(Factual Review), 이의신청(Appeal), 평가윤리(Evaluation Ethics) 및 이해상충 방지(Conflict of Interest Prevention) 체계를 운영하여 평가의 공정성과 신뢰성을 확보하고 있습니다.

Greetings,

Thank you for visiting the Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission (SEC).

Today, we face rapid change and increasingly complex challenges, including climate change, carbon neutrality, digital transformation, advances in artificial intelligence (AI), supply-chain risks, human rights protection, cybersecurity, and the growing importance of ethical management. These developments require corporations and public institutions to move beyond financial performance and strengthen sustainability, responsible management, non-financial risk management capability, innovation capability, and long-term value creation.

The Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission (SEC) is a specialized evaluation institution established by the World Federation of Power Leaders (WFPL). Through objective and independent assessments, SEC supports informed decision-making by investors and stakeholders while evaluating the sustainability, responsible management performance, non-financial risk management capability, innovation capability, and long-term value creation potential of corporations and public institutions.

I believe that evaluation should not merely serve as a tool for comparison or ranking. Rather, evaluation should function as a compass that enables organizations to objectively understand their current position and prepare for the future. It should be a starting point for sustainable growth, responsible transformation, and long-term value creation.

SEC does not pursue evaluation for its own sake. We strive to ensure that evaluation contributes to sustainable development, organizational improvement, and responsible management. Our mission is to serve as a responsible management evaluation and analysis platform that supports corporations and public institutions in becoming more transparent, innovative, and accountable organizations.

Development and Operation of the WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI)

One of SEC's most distinctive strengths is the development and operation of the WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI), which serves as our official evaluation framework.

The WFSRI is a responsible management evaluation framework consisting of Six Major Evaluation Categories, Fourteen Sub-Categories, 110 Detailed Indicators, and 31 Core Value Indicators (CVI).

While conventional ESG frameworks primarily focus on Environmental, Social, and Governance factors, the WFSRI goes further by incorporating Public Value, Community Value, Protection of Future Generations, Digital Ethics, and Innovation Value. Through this expanded framework, SEC comprehensively evaluates sustainability, responsible management performance, social value creation, and future-readiness capability.

SEC WFSRI Rating

SEC operates the SEC WFSRI Rating, the official responsible management rating framework based on the WFSRI.

The SEC WFSRI Rating comprehensively evaluates the sustainability, responsible management performance, social value creation achievements, and future-readiness capability of corporations and public institutions.

The rating framework consists of five levels: AAA (Platinum), AA (Gold), A (Silver), BB (Certified), and B (Not Certified), with certification marks awarded according to evaluation results.

ESG·WFSRI Evaluation & Analysis Center

SEC also operates the ESG·WFSRI Evaluation & Analysis Center, which provides evaluation results, industry league tables, peer analyses, responsible management profiles, non-financial risk assessments, long-term value creation analyses, industry outlook information, and research resources.

Through these services, SEC supports corporations and public institutions in objectively identifying their current standing, pursuing continuous improvement, and strengthening their long-term competitiveness.

Independence and Credibility of Evaluation

SEC places Fairness, Objectivity, Independence, Transparency, Accountability, Professionalism, and Data Reliability at the center of its evaluation philosophy.

To preserve the independence of evaluation and certification, SEC maintains a principle of Financial Independence and does not accept evaluation fees, review fees, certification fees, sponsorships, promotional support, or any other financial assistance from evaluated corporations or public institutions.

SEC also operates a robust evaluation governance framework based on Factual Review procedures, Appeal procedures, Evaluation Ethics standards, and Conflict of Interest Prevention policies to ensure the credibility, integrity, and fairness of all evaluation activities.
